One in three households in the US has a gun.
 
The website includes clinical scenarios in which firearms may increase risk, available interventions to reduce risk, and strategies for talking with at-risk patients.
 
BulletPoints is an evidence-based curriculum that will undergo ongoing evaluation to identify effective and sustainable strategies to teach clinicians about firearm injury prevention.

In 2005, Placer County Systems of Care with the support of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA), joined forces with a host of community partners to launch a campaign to transform mental health services through community-based, recovery focused, culturally competent and innovative approaches. Believing the key to lasting change in mental health care in Placer County is to place residents and community based agencies in a true position of partnership with the county, the Campaign for Community Wellness (CCW) was created.

The Placer CCW functions as the legislatively mandated body to oversee the implementation of the Mental Health Services Act. The CCW is comprised of concerned community members, non-profit agencies, school and law enforcement partners, family members and consumers of Mental Health services and the Placer County Systems of Care staff. The Cirby Wellness Center offers an array of wellness services all in one place. Activities are facilitated by both peer and professional staff. The activities offered at the Wellness Center are free of cost and designed to foster a sense of community and shared recovery.

Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center supports family caregivers of adults with chronic and disabling conditions or diseases.

Founded in 1987, Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center is part of a statewide system of resource centers serving family caregivers. Del Oro covers California’s Gold Country Counties — Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba — and is an independent, private, non-profit program funded by the Department of Health Care Services, Agency on Aging, Area 4, grants and private contributions.

Del Oro is dedicated to serving families caring for an adult with a cognitive impairing condition that occurred after the age of 18 (e.g., Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, and frail older adults) in various counties.

DEWITT WELLNESS CENTER

Due to COVID-19, the Dewitt Wellness Center remains closed to clients and community guests however, the Service Center is open Monday-Friday 1:00-5:00 pm. They are providing services and resources for those seeking housing options.

The Dewitt Wellness Center is a Peer-run program where guests, consumers, and community members find a fun, supportive, and informative environment. Guests of the Wellness Center find assistance with housing resources and get help getting connected to mental health, substance use, and other services offered in the Adult System of Care and in the community.

The Wellness Center offers a wide variety of support groups, classes, and activities ranging from Men's Support Group, Ready to Rent classes, Smoking Cessation, to Walking Groups and art classes. Groups and classes are designed and facilitated by Peer Advocates and County staff to meet the needs of the Wellness Center guests.
