Let’s Talk Nevada County is a campaign to promote awareness of wellness strategies and resources and encourage conversations about how we’re feeling during times of stress. It was started during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The goal is to build resiliency within our community, and to remind everyone that self-care is critical, as is connection with our natural networks of support.  When we need more support than our friends and family are able to provide us, professional helping services are available too. It’s ok not to be ok all the time.

Offers breast ultrasounds, X-rays, diagnostic mammograms as well as general and vascular ultrasounds which do require a referral from a physician. In the US, immunizations have reduced or eliminated many infectious diseases that once routinely killed or harmed many infants, children, and adults. However, the viruses and bacteria that cause immunization-preventable disease and death still exist and can be passed on to people who are not protected by immunizations.

Placer County residents can get assistance scheduling flu and COVID-19 vaccine appointments by calling 211 or 833-342-5211, unless they are insured by Kaiser Permanente, in which case they need to schedule directly with Kaiser at kp.org.

  • Increasing consumption and access to healthy dietary choices where people live, learn, work, or play

  • Educating the Placer County SNAP-Ed population on healthy choices
