Town of Truckee is served by the Truckee Fire Protection District provides Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services on a 24-hour basis. They offer general safety information on topics including Defensible Space, Fire and Home Safety, Fire Conditions, Burn Permits, and Emergency Evacuations at local stations.  They cover a service area that extends beyond the Town of Truckee limits.
