Senior Nutrition Program
Gold Country Senior Services has been providing senior nutrition programs for older adults in Western Nevada County since 1987. They provide hot nutritious meals in a warm and friendly setting that provides older adults an opportunity to socialize. Each meal is prepared fresh and from scratch.

Lunch is served at noon, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in person
They do not serve meals on holidays or when roads are unsafe to travel.
Menu
Recipes and menus are planned and approved by a dietitian to ensure each meal meets the nutritional requirements for an older adult. Each meal includes an entrée, vegetable, fruit, and milk. Menus are available on their website and at their Café.

The Senior Navigator assists with navigating programs and processes so people get connected to resources. Call 211 or 833-342-5211 for a referral to the Senior Navigator who will contact you to assist.

Nevada County Now offers paratransit and senior on-demand dial-a-rides. There is no Sunday service. Service area includes Grass Valley, Nevada City, Penn Valley, Lake Wildwood, and other local areas (see link to map in Web Pages section below). Bus hours: 7am - 6pm  Monday - Friday. 7:30am - 4:30pm Saturday.

The Seniors First Information & Assistance Program is a resource for senior-focused programs, services and assistance. The program is designed to assist Placer County seniors age 60 and older get the resources and assistance they need to remain healthy and independent. They also welcome calls from family members, caregivers and other interested parties who are assisting seniors in getting the services they need.
