This could include health conditions or challenges such as not having a place to live. To get ECM services, someone must be enrolled in a Medi-Cal managed care health plan and meet certain eligibility requirements. Nation's Finest was awarded a FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) grant to assist people affected by wildfires in Nevada and Placer Counties.

Anyone impacted by wildfires in Nevada or Placer County can receive free referral support, group support, and one-on-one crisis intervention by reaching out to 530-461-0257 or adecker@nationsfinest.org. Peer workshop appointments are available.

Disaster survivors should be aware that con artists and criminals may try to obtain money or steal personal information through fraud, scams and identity theft. In some cases, thieves try to register with FEMA using stolen names, addresses and Social Security numbers. FEMA encourages survivors to watch for and report any suspicious activity.

  • Federal and local disaster workers do not solicit or accept money. Do not trust anyone who offers financial help and then asks for money or personal information.
  • Do not disclose information to any unsolicited telephone calls or e-mails from individuals claiming to be FEMA or federal employees. FEMA will not contact you unless you have called FEMA first or applied for assistance.
