California HOPE (CalHOPE) delivers crisis phone support and a warm line for communities impacted by a national disaster. This is a Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training Program (CCP) funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)​, and run by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). 

CalHOPE builds community resiliency and helps people recover from disasters through free outreach, crisis counseling, and support services.

California Children's Services (CCS) is a statewide program that arranges, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation, when these services are authorized by the program. Services can be authorized for children and young adults less than 21 years of age who have eligible medical conditions and whose families are unable to pay for all or part of their care.

CCS defines eligibility and selects the most qualified professionals to treat the child's CCS-eligible condition. However, it is important for you to know that CCS is not a health insurance program. It will not meet all of the child's health needs, only those related to the CCS-eligible condition.

Offers a slate of free classes for caregivers, family members, or anyone interested in improving their skills while caring for a senior or person with a disability. Class topics include universal precautions, lifting and transferring, disaster preparedness, diabetes care, stress management, yoga, and preparing healthy meals on a budget. Placer County Public Health Department (PCPHD) partners with medical care providers in the community, and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases. PCPHD investigates and follows up on reported cases and their contacts. Public Health staff provide education to individuals and in group settings, and surveillance duties to reduce incidents and prevent additional cases.

The Disability Disaster Access and Resources Program, is a joint effort with the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers (CFILC) and PG&E to support people with disabilities and older adults before, during, and after a PSPS event.

The program enables qualified customers who use electrical medical devices to access backup portable batteries through a grant, lease-to-own or the FreedomTech low-interest financial loan program.

Transportation resources, lodging and food options are also provided through an online application process to qualified customers. CFILC administers all aspects of the program.
