Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transportation (TART) provides public transportation, much of it free, for the Truckee – North Lake Tahoe region. Riders can connect to south Lake Tahoe via the Emerald Bay Shuttle, to Sand Harbor via the Sand Harbor Shuttle, and can explore Truckee on the Truckee Local route. TART connects with Greyhound, Amtrak, and Truckee Transit at the Truckee Depot. Offers ADA complementary service for individuals who cannot ride a public bus due to physical, mental, or other health issues. If a person qualifies, then they can get door to door service within the TART fixed route. TART is a public transit service operated by the Placer County Department of Public Works, funded by Placer County, Washoe County Regional Transportation Commission and the Town of Truckee.

TCPUD Recreation Offices are now located at this facility.
