The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League is engaged in activities and events after school three days a week for local youth.

The events include mentoring, leadership and promote good decision making through sports and/or presentations. The program also implements a drug and gang prevention environment. Look under programs tab on website for specific details of each program.

The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League is facilitated at Parkside Church in Auburn and is hosted by a Placer County Sheriff’s Deputies, Placer County Probation, Children System of Care, Latino Leadership Counsel and KidsFirst.

The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The Placer Sheriff’s Activities League, along with its partnerships, will work and provide youth with valuable life skills benefiting themselves and the community. Strives to prevent youth involvement of gangs as well as drug use.

Discounted fare cards are available for eligible seniors, individuals with disabilities, and youth passengers. Children aged 5 years and younger ride free.

California Alliance of Caregivers provides

• Foster, kinship, guardian, and adoptive families
• One one-on-one assistance to families who need to connect to resources and benefits that are specifically for children and youth currently in or from foster care
• Free parent training and resources for all parents, but they are directed toward parents caring for children with mental health needs
• Weekly, virtual, facilitated support groups
• Leadership coalition around the state that supports families at the local level

Trainings are free for all parents and caregivers. Training and support are primarily targeted to parents and caregivers of children in or from foster care; and children with mental health needs.

The Roseville Police Activities League provides safe and supervised environments for recreational, athletic, social, educational programs.

Programs offered appeal to the different interests of children and young adults helping to build meaningful relationships between Roseville youth and Police Officers.

RPAL also partners with KidsFirst to provide homework help to kids twice a week. All RPAL programs and events are low cost. Some athletic activities include Boxing, Taekwondo, Basketball, Dance, art, cooking, and Yoga.

This program is only available for Roseville residents.
