Nevada County Now offers paratransit and senior on-demand dial-a-rides. There is no Sunday service. Service area includes Grass Valley, Nevada City, Penn Valley, Lake Wildwood, and other local areas (see link to map in Web Pages section below). Bus hours: 7am - 6pm  Monday - Friday. 7:30am - 4:30pm Saturday.

PARATRANSIT
The County of Nevada Transit Services administers an origin-to-destination/door-to-door paratransit service for persons with disabilities who, due to a mental or physical disability, are unable to use the fixed-route bus system, as mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Nevada County Connects provides local and regional fixed-route bus service to the Cities, towns, and unincorporated areas of Western Nevada County, including Nevada City, Grass Valley, Penn Valley, Rough and Ready, Lake Wildwood, Alta Sierra, Lake of the Pines, and the regional hub at the Auburn Amtrak station.

The Alta Colfax is run by Placer County Transit and is a deviated fixed route servicing ¾ of a mile off I-80 from Auburn Amtrak station, Colfax Amtrak station, and the Alta store. It operates twice daily Monday – Friday.

Placer County Transit has launched the GO South Placer mobile app, which allows customers to request on-demand trips with both Placer County Transit and Roseville Transit via their phones. The new service will transport residents within the Rocklin/Loomis and Lincoln Dial-A-Ride zones. Rides are operated by Placer County Transit in Rocklin, Loomis and Lincoln and they cost $2.50 per ride or $1.25 for customers who qualify for discounted fares. Rides in Roseville are operated by Roseville Transit and cost $3.50 per ride or $2.50 for eligible customers.

The City of Auburn has its own Transit Services and also contracts with Placer County Transit to provide additional transit options to Auburn residents.

Auburn Loop

The Auburn Loop is Auburn Transit’s deviated fixed route service. It provides direct transportation to and from any Auburn Loop bus stop as well as deviations up to ½ mile throughout the City and parts of surrounding Placer County.

Auburn OnDemand
