The South Placer Fire District responds to structure, wildland, vehicle, and other types of fires that occur in the District. Medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, rescue emergencies, public service calls, and hazardous material response (at the first responder level) are part of the services provided. 

Station 18 is located in the heart of Downtown Loomis and is designated the “Eagles Nest” due to its alliance and close relationship with Del Oro High School Eagles. The station's first due area has significantly high-risk hazards including Interstate 80, railroads, wildland-urban interface, and high-pressure underground pipelines. Station 20 is the furthest Station to the north of our District otherwise known as the “Ridgerunners”. The Nevada County Consolidated Fire District provides fire suppression and emergency medical response services. Special operations include swift water rescue and large animal rescue. Additional programs include fire inspection and prevention services, public education programs, and participation in community projects. 

The North San Juan Fire Protection District provides emergency services for fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents to the North San Juan and San Juan Ridge areas.

Ophir Hill Fire Protection District provides fire suppression, emergency medical service, hazardous materials incident response, and fire prevention information. The Ophir Hill Fire Protection District covers a 9 square mile area.

The Peardale-Chicago Park Fire Protection District, Station 57 provides fire suppression services, emergency medical response and public assistance from stations in Chicago Park and Peardale.

Serves the communities of Peardale, Chicago Park and You Bet/Red Dog. Emergency services are also provided to three campgrounds on Rollins Lake: Orchard Springs, Greenhorn and Peninsula.

Provides fire protection, paramedics and emergency ambulance rescue, residential fire and life inspections, fire information and safety presentations, fire education to the public, and a firefighter intern program for students considering a career in the Fire Services. 

The district operates three fire stations, two of which are staffed twenty-four hours a day with a minimum of two personnel. The third station relies on off-duty personnel for staffing.

The Rough and Ready Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection, emergency rescue services and sandbags in times of floods.
