CalFresh provides extra funds to help those who are in need each month to buy groceries. With a CalFresh electronic “debit” card (known as EBT) you can buy most foods at many food stores and farmers markets. Even if temporary, individuals and families who have experienced a change in their circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and need additional help, may apply for CalFresh.
More information is available at https://www.placer.ca.gov/2103/CalFresh-Food-Stamps although, it is for reference only. Speak to a Human Services staff person for the most up-to-date info.
