The Superior Court is a court of original jurisdiction and is the highest level of trial court in the county and state. It has jurisdiction on all cases of equity, cases involving titles to and possession of real property, civil cases, criminal cases, small claims cases, probate and family law matters, adoptions, mental health and juvenile cases. 

Provides mental health screenings for suicide risk, depression, and anxiety to 9th grade students and any grade student upon request. Screenings are voluntary and confidential, with followup support provided for treatment connections. Parent/guardian permission slips are downloadable st www.whatsupwellness.com. Offers mindfulness, expressive arts and boys groups in area high schools. Spanish translation services also available.

The Adult Protective Services Program is intended to provide intervention activities directed toward safeguarding the well-being of elders and dependent adults suffering from or at risk of abuse or neglect, including self-neglect. A special 24-hour, 7-day a week, response program is available by calling Adult Protective Services: 530-265-1639 or 888-339-7248.

Home Safe is a homelessness prevention demonstration grant that will serve APS clients who are at imminent risk of homelessness or recently became homeless due to abuse, neglect, self-neglect, or financial exploitation.  The goal of the Home Safe program is to support the safety and housing stability of individuals involved in APS by providing short-term housing related assistance.

Performs mandated tasks, such as providing all investigative and report services to the courts, supervision of offenders placed on probation and released into the community, and advocacy for the rights and financial claims of crime victims and witnesses.

Supports the local courts in the operation of specific programs including the operation of court services units, field supervision units, and victim support and advocacy.


Facilitates the Probation Community Service Program that allows qualified defendants with sentences of 60 days of less to serve their sentences- supervised by probation department personnel or authorized liaison personnel - in lieu of jail time.

Provides services to people who are blind or visually impaired including peer and professional counseling, escorted transportation to medical and agency functions, educational classes, and skills training.

Offers clients social opportunities to meet other people who have visual impairments, help in obtaining needed resources and equipment, assistance with blindness related legal or insurance issues, instruction on how to download digital books from the National Library Service.

It is our purpose and mission to provide:

Supports families in growing a portion of their fruits and vegetables at home. Works with each family to build a backyard garden and provides classes, mentoring, and supplies for two years to ensure a successful experience. Encourages lifetime home gardening, access to nutritious foods, physical activity, and good mental health. 

 

Offers confidential reproductive health education, family planning, mental health counseling and support, and STD testing and treatment services for youth up to 21 years of age.

DBSA Auburn-Grass Valley is a "support group" and not a “therapy group." We are people living with depression, bipolar disorder, or an anxiety disorder who come together to learn from each other and encourage one another as we work towards wellness.
