Tahoe Truckee Unified School District provides free meals for students through its Food & Nutrition Services.
Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD) is providing free summer meals for children aged 18 and younger and any adults with developmental disabilities. Participants do not need to be enrolled in a TTUSD school site.
Participants can receive five breakfasts and five lunches, delivered to the following locations every Monday until August 9th, 2024:

The North Tahoe Truckee Homeless Services (NTTHS) Emergency Day Respite Center is available for day use only.
The Emergency Day Respite Center provides:
Offers assistance in multiple languages through a Language Line service.
HOURS
Open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Starting 2024, hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 pm - 5pm.
LOCATION
Church of the Mountains at 10079 Church Street, Truckee, CA 96161

CALFRESH (FOOD STAMPS) CalFresh, formerly known as Food Stamps and known federally as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), can help families and individuals put healthy and nutritious food on the table. CalFresh provides extra funds to help those who are in need each month to buy groceries. With a CalFresh electronic “debit” card (known as EBT) you can buy most foods at many food stores and farmers markets. Even if temporary, individuals and families who have experienced a change in their circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and need additional help, may apply for CalFresh.
