Harmony House is located in the foothills of Auburn, California in the hub of other Placer County departments. Many services are centrally located for residents and can be reached within walking distance.

All services are coordinated with Placer County Department of Mental Health and other treatment providers to ensure continuity of treatment.

Digital resources are available on the campaign website; for young people, there are two options to choose from that determine what kind of resources are provided:

  • Help for Me - Resources for young people who are actively having thoughts of suicide, undergoing a crisis, or feel that their mental health is worsening.
  • Help for My Friend - Resources for young people who are looking to assist someone close to them who is undergoing a crisis or has expressed suicidal ideation/the intent to begin a suicide attempt.

Nevada Insight Respite Center (IRC) offers respite program for individuals with mental health challenges going through difficult times in order to prevent crisis intervention or hospitalization. Insight Respite Center is a peer centered program where guests are treated as equals on their road to recovery. They realize that fostering of self-esteem and self-respect is crucial to the health and well being of an individual. Peer Supporters are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for guests to connect with and experience mutual learning. We offer hope, compassion and understanding in a stigma-free environment.

To make a referral, please call Nevada County Behavioral Health at 530-265-1437 and ask to speak with the intake person of the day. If an individual is accepted, they will be contacted by a peer from Insight Respite.
