Give an Hour is a national nonprofit that provides free mental health services to active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve forces, and veterans who have separated or retired from any branch of military service. Give an Hour also serves family members and loved ones of those who have served in the military.

Providers
Give an Hour providers are licensed mental health professionals who have agreed to provide services in their areas of expertise. They generously donate one hour per week for a minimum of one year to provide mental health support at no charge to our clients.

Search Providers
Placer County residents can use the website search to find providers in their area: https://giveanhour.org/provider-search/

The search will hopefully result in several options, and then you can contact the providers directly to find one who is a good fit for your needs and schedule. When contacting a provider, be sure to mention that you were referred by Give an Hour!

In Case of Emergency
Give an Hour and The Campaign to Change Direction do not provide emergency services. For immediate help:

  • OR text SIGNS to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line.

Both services are free and available 24/7.
