In the US, immunizations have reduced or eliminated many infectious diseases that once routinely killed or harmed many infants, children, and adults. However, the viruses and bacteria that cause immunization-preventable disease and death still exist and can be passed on to people who are not protected by immunizations.
Placer County residents can get assistance scheduling flu and COVID-19 vaccine appointments by calling 211 or 833-342-5211, unless they are insured by Kaiser Permanente, in which case they need to schedule directly with Kaiser at
kp.org.
