Volunteers of America (VOA) provides specialized programs for homeless and at-risk veterans and their families in Yolo, Placer, El Dorado, Sacramento, Nevada, and Yuba/Sutter counties.
Services for veterans include rapid re-housing, case management and homeless prevention. A large focus is heavily placed on increasing veteran’s employment potential through job readiness and retention training.
Program GoalsVolunteers of America - Northern California & Northern Nevada’s (VOA-NCNN) Veterans Services program provides supportive services to extremely low or very low-income veterans who are facing homelessness. We offer a very comprehensive program for veterans; including housing assistance, counseling, employment training, temporary financial assistance, case management and other supportive services (e.g. access to food, household items, and furniture).
