• Family Resource Center ​(FRC) staff provide advocacy, goal setting, and wellness recommendations to clients in need of support managing a difficult family situation. The Cirby Wellness Center offers an array of wellness services all in one place. Activities are facilitated by both peer and professional staff. The activities offered at the Wellness Center are free of cost and designed to foster a sense of community and shared recovery.

The Wellness Center features:

• A community garden
• Journaling classes
• Choir
• Walking and hiking groups
• Health education
• Job readiness
• and more

Activities are free of cost. Participants are not required to pay for any portion. Any materials and equipment needed for the groups will be provided. Participants only need to arrive with an open mind and willingness to try new things.

St. Vincent de Paul provides individuals and families groceries through the Food Locker Program. Also hygiene packets as available. SVDP also offers families with infants and small toddlers:

To be eligible for participation in the Food Locker Program all clients may complete an application if they are a resident of Placer County, show proof of current residency, and provide a valid form of photo identification.

General Relief in Placer County provides temporary cash aid for those who are not eligible for federal or state programs or other assistance programs. All General Relief applicants must apply in person and be interviewed by an Eligibility Specialist to complete the application process.

CalFresh, formerly known as Food Stamps and known federally as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), provides extra funds to help those who are in need each month to buy groceries.

Chapa-De provides Pregnancy Care at both Auburn and Grass Valley Health Centers.

In addition to regular appointments with your doctor, their Baby Luv Program helps women get the education and services needed for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

Chapa-De's services include:

• Check-ups at Chapa-De once a month or more until your 34th week, where you would then start having weekly appointments at Chapa-De with OBGYNs from Camelia Women’s Health who can deliver your baby at Mercy San Juan Medical Center
• Tests to check your health and the health of your baby
• Classes and one-on-one information about pregnancy, child birth, baby care, and breastfeeding
• Referral to community agencies that can provide additional help and services
• Information about where to go for financial help, health insurance like Medi-Cal, or food programs like WIC or local food banks

If you are an adult with dependent children, you may be eligible for California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids, or CalWORKs. CalWORKs provides:

• Child care, work expense assistance, transportation, and counseling
• Education, employment and training programs through Employment Services
• Families with children financial assistance to meet their basic needs
• Support for families moving toward self-sufficiency

If you are eligible for CalWORKs you will automatically qualify for Medi-Cal and may also qualify for CalFresh.
