Raising Placer is a network of community coalitions in Placer County currently funded by the Drug Free Communities Support Program from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The coalitions work with their communities to prevent and reduce youth substance use. Through collaboration, the goal of the Raising Placer network of coalitions is to strengthen and sustain prevention efforts throughout the county.

Chapa-De Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services are available to all American Indian community members and active medical patients at Chapa-De Indian Health. Addiction is a chronic, progressive, relapsing disease that can be treated. At Chapa-De, there is non-judgmental and compassionate care for all addictive diseases.

Services are provided in Auburn and Grass Valley.

The team at Chapa-De provides:

  • Routine screenings
  • Education
  • Brief interventions
  • Referrals to treatment for drug and alcohol addiction
  • Referrals to all levels of care, including outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and residential treatment, which are available to patients with Medi-Cal. There are additional treatment options available for American Indian patients.

New Dawn Treatment Centers provides substance use treatment and mental health support for adults through residential and outpatient programs. 

Services are designed for individuals with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Services include:

  • Medically monitored detox (sub-acute level)
  • Gender-specific residential treatment (30 to 90 days)
  • Intensive outpatient services
  • Evidence-based therapy, including ACT, DBT, and CBT
  • Experiential therapies, such as:
