The District Attorney's Victim/Witness Program can assist if a person:

Nevada City Office of Emergency Services provides a free Community Green Waste program. A bin is located at Pioneer Park near Little Deer Creek (lower parking lot).

Please follow the following guidelines when utilizing the bin

• Please limit truck loads to 1-2 per week
• Help your neighbors and spread the word
• Make sure to dispose of ONLY green waste
• The bin will stay in place as long as it is not misused
• No business or commercial waste
• NO HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE
• NO COMMERCIAL OR BUSINESS USE
• Please do not overfill. If bin is too full Waste Management cannot take the bin off site to empty

• The Green Waste Bin gets picked up Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Also provided is a Community Chipping Program which is meant to assist residents in reducing vegetation and enhancing fire safety in the community. The chipping program assists residents in reducing vegetation and fire fuels by facilitating the chipping of material produced in quantities too large for green bins.
