Thanksgiving:

Sierra Community House (Tahoe-Truckee) - Let's Talk Turkey
What: Each year, Sierra Community House (formerly Project MANA) helps hundreds of local families have a happy, healthy Thanksgiving through the Let’s Talk Turkey (frozen) Food. Services are free and everyone is welcome. Includes frozen turkey.
When & where: 

• November 16 - Incline Village community members who pick up in person will receive TWO bags. One with regular weekly food bag. The other with Thanksgiving fixings.
• November 20 - All home delivery community members will receive their Thanksgiving fixings bag.
• November 21 - Truckee community members who pick up in person will receive one bag of Thanksgiving fixings.
• November 22 - Kings Beach community members who pick up in person will receive Thanksgiving fixings.
• November 23 (Thanksgiving Day) - NO Incline Village distribution.

Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe (BGCNLT)
What:  Bring your family & friends to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner provided by BGCNLT, The Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe and NTPUD.

Tahoe Community Thanksgiving Celebration
What: 15th Annual Tahoe Community Thanksgiving Celebration on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteers are accepted to clean or serve meals. If you would like to help, you can come early or stay late. Open to anyone (regardless of if you’re housed or homeless) until food runs out. No need to sign up unless you want food delivered for free. If you’re homebound, handicapped, or need food delivered contact Meera at 1-775-230-1066. Leftovers are made available (if there are any).

North Tahoe-Truckee Homeless Services
Donation drop offs (call ahead)
What: North Tahoe-Truckee Homeless Services (NTTHS) operates two programs under AMI Housing. North Tahoe-Truckee Homeless Services offers an emergency warming center (to provide overnight shelter for those in need when weather is severe) and an emergency day respite center (to provide warm meals, showers, laundry services, case management, and long term support as needed) in Truckee. NTTHS has two lists of donation items that people are always in need of (see below). 
Items for winter include:

• Large backpacks
• 0-30 Degree adult sleeping bags
• 1 person tents (3-4 season)
• New underwear
• New long underwear
• Gently used pants (size 32-36)
• Gently used t-shirts (size m-2xl)
• Winter boots (size 8-12)
• Winter coats (size m-2xl)
• Individually wrapped snacks
• New hygiene products (deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, razors, feminine products)

Items for newly housed neighbors include:

• Twin mattress & frame (like new)
• Matching twin sheets (like new)
• Small dresser
• Side table
• Table lamp
• TV
• Small microwave
• Toaster (like new)
• Medium size wall artwork
• Pots, pans, baking dishes
