Auburn Interfaith Food Closet Frozen - Turkey Drive Sign Up
What: Thanksgiving Frozen Turkey Drive.  Sign up online or come to AIFC and we will help you sign up. Sign-ups must be completed by Friday, November 17, 2023. To be eligible, you must live in the AIFC service area: Alta, Applegate, Auburn, Baxter, Blue Canyon, Bowman, Clipper Gap, Colfax, Dutch Flat, Eden Valley, Emigrant Gap, Foresthill, Gold Run, Iowa Hill, Lake of the Pines, Loomis, Meadow Vista, Michigan Bluff, Newastle, Ophir, Penryn, Todd Valley, or Weimar.
When: Monday, November 20th between 9 AM and 5 PM

Salvation Army Auburn - Thanksgiving Dinners
What: The Salvation Army provides prepared Thanksgiving meals to those in need (including homeless families). No need to sign up. Meals are available to eat at the fairgrounds, take to-go, or can be delivered if people live anywhere from Newcastle to Alta. To receive a meal delivery, call the office to give your name, address, business name OR inform the office if you are a family.
When: 12:00 PM– 2:00 PM Nov 23, 2023 (Thanksgiving Day)

DONATIONS TO SALVATION ARMY FOR THANKSGIVING
What: Monetary and some food donations are accepted – Food must be packaged and have never been opened (not past expiration date). Examples include canned green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and any other holiday foods. Please call ahead of time to speak with Nicole. She maintains a list and carries the key to the food storage container.

Christmas

New Covenant Baptist Church Breakfast with Santa
What: The church is having a ‘Breakfast with Santa’ event. Children of all ages are invited to have a pancake breakfast with Santa. There will also be Christmas crafts and gift bag making; including a picture with Santa! This event is free of charge. Anyone is welcome to attend. No eligibility requirements. Nevada and Placer County resident’s welcome.
