Discounted bus fare cards are available for qualified seniors, people with disabilities, and youth passengers. Children 5 years and younger ride free. The forms of identification listed below are required in order to be eligible for discounted fares. All applicants must have and show a valid photo ID.

My Rides provides free transportation services to non-emergency medical appointments and other essential services for eligible Placer County residents. Eligible services include grocery shopping, banking, dentist appointments, lab and pharmacy visits, and hair appointments. Transportation is provided by volunteer drivers who are approved and scheduled by Seniors First.

Who is Eligible
Residents of Placer County who fall into one of three categories:
Individuals aged 60+ who are ambulatory.
Individuals with disabilities aged 18 - 59 and who are ambulatory.
Families with children ages 0 - 5, who are unable to use conventional transportation services.​

How It Works
Prospective riders may contact a MyRides representative at 800-878-9222 from 8:30 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday for information about their transportation needs. The Placer Rides program provides transportation to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low income families with children 0-5 who are unable to use conventional transportation services.

Qualified volunteer drivers provide rides to:

Volunteer Drivers
Placer County residents can enlist a relative, neighbor, friend, or a pool of existing volunteer drivers to get them to non-emergency medical appointments, public assistance, and quality of life types of services. Volunteer drivers must have an approved application on file to receive reimbursement.

Lincoln Transit offers complementary paratransit service to ADA-certified individuals and seniors (age 60 and above). The program, which operates as a shared-ride, reservation-based service, provides service to any location within a ¾-mile radius of any Lincoln Transit route as well as the Del Webb community. With respect to ride requests, priority will be given to ADA-certified individuals followed by seniors (defined as persons age 60 and above). Use of the dial-a-ride service by the general public available solely on a space-available basis.
The service operates Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To schedule a trip call (916) 645-5400. Roseville Transit provides public Local fixed-route bus service in Roseville with connections to Placer County Transit and Sacramento Regional Transit. Express Commuter routes to and from downtown Sacramento operate during peak commute hours. Dial-A-Ride provides a reservation-based shared ride bus service anywhere in Roseville for the general public. ADA Paratransit service is available throughout Roseville.

Free mobility training is available for seniors and people with special needs. Our trainers meet with you, explain the bus system and schedules, and ride with you to teach you how to travel independently. Contact Roseville Transit for eligibility information.

Offers non-emergency medical transportation to medically necessary appointments to those who cannot drive themselves there. To ask for Medical Transportation please call Anthem Blue Cross Transportation Reservations at 877-931-4755 at least five business days (Monday-Friday) before your appointment or call as soon as you can when you have an urgent appointment. There is no advance requirement for dialysis, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, urgent care, wound care or discharges. Transportation can be scheduled up to 30 days in advance.

Have your member ID card ready when you call.

Anthem Blue Cross partners with a number of third parties, including  LogistiCare, to provide non-emergency medical transportation.
