Auburn Adventist Community Services, at the Auburn Seventh-day Adventist Church, has been around since the 1970s and offers a variety of services for families and individuals who are in need, out of work or simply find that the month lasts longer than the paychecks every once in a while. The HUD-VASH Voucher program offers homeless or at risk of homelessness veterans with housing assistance information and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) vouchers.

To refer a veteran call 877-4AID VET (877-424-3838).

AMI Housing, Inc (AMIH) provides housing, employment, and life skills programs to residents of Nevada County and Placer County who otherwise might be homeless. Nevada County residents must be clients of Turning Point. AMIH offers assistance in multiple languages through a Language Line service.

All AMI programs require:

• Proof of county residency for 14 days before being eligible for funding
• Current income that can support housing costs going forward after any funding assistance from AMIH

​AMIH and 211 offer assistance in multiple languages through a Language Line service.

Call 2-1-1 or 833-342-5211 for information about, and eligibility screening for, the following programs.

• Homelessness Prevention - For people who are at risk of losing their current housing.
• Rapid Rehousing - For people who are currently unhoused. Coordinated Entry intake required.
