The Crisis Resolution Center provides solution-focused, trauma-informed, and person focus family intervention; which resolves family crises and establishes reunification of children ages 12-17 with their families. The Crisis Resolution Center, located in Loomis California, is a six-bed (co-ed) facility with counseling services, fully licensed and professionally staffed to provide short-term out-client family services and short-term residential care.

Our team (composed of well-trained house parents, child care workers, and a CRC Case Manager) offers the highest quality of:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Parent-child training
  • Referral services

Short-term residential placement for teenagers ages 12-17 (average stay is approximately one to two weeks).Youth at the Crisis Resolution Center experience a stable, well-supervised schedule that follows a three-phase process:

  2. Counseling and Outreach

The STEPP PROGRAM was established in 1998.

STEPP is a district program for pregnant and parenting teens.

STEPP offers a quality child development program with an Infant/Toddler center on site at Sierra High School.

Students enrolled in the STEPP Program participate in parenting and life-skill classes after their academic day. We offer an infant and toddler childcare center on-site at Sierra High School for district students and their children. We have free childcare for these students while they are attending school and pursuing the goal of graduation.

In the afternoon of the program the students are required to attend parenting and life skill classes to help assist them in becoming good parents and being able to take care of themselves and their children.

The Nevada County Public Health Department in Truckee offers confidential reproductive health services to teens including abstinence education, birth control education and supplies, decision-making counseling and support, pregnancy testing and referrals, emergency contraception supplies, STD testing and referrals, Hepatitis A and B vaccinations, HPV vaccinations, mental health counseling and support, and referrals to community services.

Visit the walk-in clinic every Wednesdays from 1-4pm or make an appointment on other clinic days. Appointments and all services are FREE, CONFIDENTIAL, and provided in a SAFE and WELCOMING teen space.

BeWellLine provides free non-clinical social, emotional, and crisis support via phone or chat to Californians age 12 and older. Services are also available in Spanish.

In addition to support for adults, BeWellLine counselors are well trained to help middle school, high school, and college students with situations such as family conflicts, homelessness, isolation, problems with friends, bullying, school pressures, suicidal ideation, navigating the online world, academic and financial pressures, or mental health issues.
