Loomis Senior Life Center provides numerous programs and meets at the 1st United Methodist Church in Loomis. The center's goal is to expand the mind, the body, and the spirits of seniors to enable them to stay in their homes for as long as possible.

Programs include:
  • Zumba Gold at 9 am
  • Stretchersize at 10 am
  • Yoga at 11:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Tai Chi starts at 9:00 am
  • Art class on Tuesdays from 9:00 to noon
  • Sewing and quilting on Thursdays from 9:00 to noon
  • Special programs (provided once in a while)
    • Choirs
    • Instrumentalists
    • Speakers on topics of interest to seniors
    • Card games
    • Board games
    • Conversation

All services are provided for $4.00 per person per day.

Loomis Senior Life Center provides a continental breakfast and a full nutritious hot lunch each day. There is a pianist that plays at lunch time. Come and share your joys and concerns in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The Salvation Army is a charitable, faith-based organization that offers support services. Some services may not be available at all times due to funding issues, so call to check on current status.

St. Vincent de Paul's Dining Room program now provides carry-out meals in place of the usual sit-down operation, which was in place before the pandemic. St. Vincent de Paul serves a warm, prepared meal three days a week, and a cold meal two days a week. Volunteers create and serve balanced meals to hundreds of clients each week. All are welcome.

Emergency Day Respite Center is available for day use only.

The Emergency Day Respite Center provides:
  • Warm meals
  • Showers (not ADA compliant or wheelchair roll-in accessible)
  • Laundry
  • Case Management
  • Access to counseling, community, and basic necessities
  • Longer-term support when possible
Offers assistance in multiple languages through a Language Line service.

HOURS
Open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
