During winter months (starting in November for 2022), lunch served on Thursdays at 11:30am at the First Community Church at 300 Main Street, Nevada City. 

During summer months, Thursday lunches are served at 11:30am at Pioneer Park, 421 Nimrod Street in Nevada City in the picnic area near the horseshoe pits.

NOTE: Sierra Roots does not provide motel vouchers or gas cards.

The Senior Cafés program of Seniors First provides a hot, healthy lunch five days a week to seniors age 60 at over eight Senior Café locations throughout Placer County including Auburn, Lincoln, Rocklin and Roseville. The Senior Cafés are lively gathering places that help maintain clients' sense of community and connectedness.

Cost
Meals are provided for a small optional contribution. No one is ever turned away for lack of financial resources.

The suggested donation for seniors age 60+ is $3.00. There is a mandatory charge of $6.00 for anyone under 60, unless accompanied by their senior spouse. Cash and checks are accepted for meal contributions.

WWJD? Inc. is a non-profit, non-denominational organization in Western Placer County serving the homeless, transitionally homeless, and working poor a hot meal in the mornings with a bag of food to go for the day. Additional support for hygiene items, warm clothing, sleeping bags, tarps/tents and referrals to social service agencies may also be provided upon special needs/requests.

WWJD? is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the homeless. We are an all-volunteer agency providing a mobile food service in the Roseville/Auburn & Foresthill areas of Western Placer County, along with medical care and transportation, referral services for homeless men, women and children.
