Bridges to Housing provides homeless individuals or families with a deposit when they have found a place to move into. The criteria required is based on the individual's needs and income status. They must have some type of income to qualify. To start the application process a client must stop by the office and pick up an application.

Program Guidelines and Verification Requirements

Guidelines

• Deposit funding is determined by need.
• The client's ret must be no more that 60% of the monthly income.
• The client must have a stable income and is sustainable going forward.
• A client's income must not exceed the Federal Proverty Guidelines.
• Funding is one time only.
• Intake is based on at least one interview.
• Client must find and secure their own rental.

• Photo identification for all adults in the household, 18 and over.
• Social Security cards for all household members.
• Income: Passport to services, social security letter or 3 recent months' pay-stubs.

2024 Deer Creek Bridge Project & Road Closure in Nevada City Feb 26-Nov 1, 2024 (8 months)

On one side of Deer Creek, this closure is where Broad St becomes Boulder St intersecting with where Sacrament St becomes Nevada St. On the other side it is just toward Deer Creek from where Grove St and High St "T" into Nevada St.

From February 26, 2024 - November 1, 2024, the City of Nevada City will be working with a contractor, Golden State Bridge Inc. to reconstruct the bridge over Deer Creek at Nevada Street. The caller’s answers are entered by the 211 CSR into HUD’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), which can be accessed only by designated organizations that provide housing services.

Callers have access to emergency shelter, as well as long term/permanent housing, by going through the Coordinated Entry process.
