2024 Deer Creek Bridge Project & Road Closure in Nevada City Feb 26-Nov 1, 2024 (8 months)

On one side of Deer Creek, this closure is where Broad St becomes Boulder St intersecting with where Sacrament St becomes Nevada St. On the other side it is just toward Deer Creek from where Grove St and High St "T" into Nevada St.

From February 26, 2024 - November 1, 2024, the City of Nevada City will be working with a contractor, Golden State Bridge Inc. to reconstruct the bridge over Deer Creek at Nevada Street. The project will require full closure of the lower portion of Nevada Street at the bridge crossing. Alternative routes for access are provided on the map on the web page with this announcement. Services are available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and by text and instant message Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm. Help is offered in many languages.

Services are accessible to people with disabilities. The 211 Connecting Point website offers guided searches by topic with information on community programs and services.

In the event of disasters such as wildfires and winter storms, 211 Connecting Point provides timely disaster-related information via the 211 call center and website.

Callers have access to emergency shelter, as well as long term/permanent housing, by going through the Coordinated Entry process.
