To meet the needs of clients having both substance abuse and behavioral health problems, a wide variety of out-patient alcohol and drug abuse services are also available directly through the County and through contract inpatient and residential facilities.

Loomis Senior Life Center provides numerous programs and meets at the 1st United Methodist Church in Loomis. The center's goal is to expand the mind, the body, and the spirits of seniors to enable them to stay in their homes for as long as possible.

Programs include:
  • Zumba Gold at 9 am
  • Stretchersize at 10 am
  • Yoga at 11:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Tai Chi starts at 9:00 am

AIFC (VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON) TURKEY DRIVE
WHAT: Auburn Interfaith Food Closet is hosting a Turkey drive for community members to donate a Turkey to a family in need or to sign up to request a frozen Turkey on the Monday before Thanksgiving if people live within the service area of AIFC. Registration to receive a Turkey must be completed by November 19th. On Sunday, Nov. 21st, people who signed up will receive a call or email about receiving a Turkey. No walk ins. Health Express provides non-emergency medical transportation on an advance reservation, shared-ride basis for eligible residents of Placer County. In partnership with a local transportation service, Health Express provides low cost rides to health-related appointments for people who are unable to utilize public transportation in Placer County.
