The Penn Valley PARTNERS Family Resource Center (FRC) provides a place for families to connect, learn, and play. Assists families with child development, parenting support, counseling, education, employment tools, and community resources.
NOTE: The FRC does NOT have any housing resources and does NOT have any gift cards, gas cards, etc.
The FRC does offer public use computers, resource and lending libraries, Spanish language translation services, a play area, diapers, and a clothes closet.
Offers playgroups Wednesday and Thursday from 10-11:30am for families with children ages 0-5. Offers weekly activities for older children. Call for details.

AMI Housing, Inc (AMIH) is a California nonprofit that provides housing, employment, and life skills programs to residents of Nevada County and Placer County who otherwise might be homeless. Nevada County residents must be clients of Turning Point. AMIH offers assistance in multiple languages through a Language Line service.
All AMI programs require proof of residency in Placer County for 14 days.

AMI's Sun Rose Apartments are studio apartments with full kitchens and private bathrooms, ADA units and hearing-impaired units. Studio sizes are typically 350 sq. ft., however, some of the units are up to 500 sq. ft. and can accommodate 2 possibly 3 person households (small child and 2 parents).
Eligibility requirements
Individual or household must be Placer County residents, experiencing homelessness, and very low income. People must complete a Coordinated Entry intake through 211. Sun Rose Apartments does NOT have a requirement for a mental health diagnosis…
