The Alzheimer's Outreach Project (AOP) is a community service provided by Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital that helps support any individual suffering from memory impairment or dementia and/or their caregiver. There are primarily 2 components to AOP: The educational and clinical components.

What is the educational component of AOP?
AOP works toward providing educational opportunities for the community to become more informed about Alzheimer’s/Related dementias. AOP provides talks at each “Yes I Can” Series of classes - on “Caring for the Caregiver” as well as “Getting Directives in Place.” There are also collaborations with the Alzheimer’s Association for educational opportunities as well as collaborations with the Hospital Foundation for classes- both for caregivers and for professionals (Hospital staff).
