California Children's Services (CCS) is a statewide program that arranges, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation when these services are authorized by the program. Services can be authorized for children and young adults less than 21 years of age who have eligible medical conditions and whose families are unable to pay for all or part of their care.

Your child may be eligible if he/she meets all four of the following requirements:
  • Age: Your child must be under 21 years of age.
  • Residence: Your child must be a permanent resident of the California county where you apply. Your child's residence is usually where you live.
  • Income: If your child is not already enrolled in Medi-Cal or the Healthy Families Program, your income must be less than $40,000 per year, according to the adjusted gross income on your California income taxes.   • Increasing consumption and access to healthy dietary choices where people live, learn, work, or play
  • Reducing consumption and/or appeal of unhealthy dietary choices

Placer County Adult System of Care (ASOC) is a provider for Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports Services (CSS). ECM provides comprehensive case management to Medi-Cal beneficiaries with the goal of linking people to important services such as healthcare, mental healthcare, housing services, and benefit programs. The goal of the Community Support Services programs is to help people find and maintain stable housing.

The target populations served by Placer ECM and CSS are adults over the age of 21 who:

  • are experiencing homelessness, and/or
  • have a serious mental illness (SMI) and/or a substance use disorder (SUD)

In the US, immunizations have reduced or eliminated many infectious diseases that once routinely killed or harmed many infants, children, and adults. However, the viruses and bacteria that cause immunization-preventable disease and death still exist and can be passed on to people who are not protected by immunizations.

Placer County residents can get assistance scheduling flu and COVID-19 vaccine appointments by calling 211 or 833-342-5211, unless they are insured by Kaiser Permanente, in which case they need to schedule directly with Kaiser at kp.org.
