Provides opportunity for visitors to the Historic Firehouse No. 1, which  was completed in the Spring of 1861, and housed the Nevada Hose Company No. 1 from 1861 to 1938.

Displays historical collections from the history of early Nevada City, including the Nisenan Indians, the Donner Party, the Chinese and daily life in Nevada County, featuring wedding dresses and an ornate miniature doll house.

Sign up for a free 10-minute legal consultation with a local volunteer attorney. Sign-ups are on a first come, first served basis. Those who have an existing case are encouraged to bring all of their legal documents with them to the online consultation.

Offers approximately 6,000 volumes of reference materials including: Nolo Press self-help law books, the Nevada County Codes, and the Municipal Codes of Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Truckee. Electronic resources include public Internet access and computer stations are available for Westlaw and CEB OnLaw, Judicial Council forms, legal pleadings, and word processing. Because the Law Library has gone almost completely electronic, our hard-bound books do not always contain the latest updates.
