The California Department of Rehabilitation provides employment services for people with disabilities and students with disabilities who want to prepare for, get, or keep a job.

Services include:

• Vocational rehabilitation for adults with disabilities who face barriers to employment
• Career counseling, job placement, and job training
• Workplace accommodations and assistive technology
• Student Services for youth with disabilities ages 16–21 who are enrolled in school (including those on break or not yet started)
• Job exploration, work readiness, and self-advocacy for students
• Specialized services for people who are blind or deaf
• Independent living services for people with disabilities

Unity Care Group provides housing and support services for youth and young adults transitioning out of foster care or at risk of homelessness in western Placer County.

Services include:

• Transitional housing for former foster youth
• Rapid rehousing assistance
• Homelessness prevention and early intervention services
• Case management and support for youth experiencing mental health challenges
