Truckee Fire Protection District has 8 locations to serve the community:

STATION 91
10049 Donner Pass Road
Station 91 is where you can locate the Administration office, Fire Prevention bureau, and the Wildfire Prevention division.
Main access to the offices are through the door facing Donner Pass Road at the front of the station and up the center staircase. Here you will find the offices of the Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, Division Chiefs, Public Information Officer, Wildfire Prevention, and Administrative staff.
Open Mon-Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm (excluding holidays). Closed from 12pm-1pm for lunch.

STATION 92
11473 Donner Pass Road
Station 92 is the "main station", located in the center of the Fire District. This station houses the Office of the Battalion Chief and is staffed on a full-time basis by a Fire Captain and three Firefighter/Paramedics.

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office provides free “EVACUATED” tags for residents to place in a highly visible place such as a door, reflective address sign, mailbox, fence, or gate as they evacuate their residence during an emergency.

These tags will help first responders swiftly identify which homes have been evacuated so they can focus their attention on those who still need help and decrease overall evacuation times.

The City of Colfax has one staffed and two unstaffed/volunteer fire stations.

Station 30 is staffed and serves the communities of Colfax and Gold Run. The station targets hazards include the Interstate 80 Corridor, UP Railway, Kinder Morgan Pipeline, and the City of Colfax. Station 30 is the upcountry home to the Placer County Technical Rescue Team and serves the rugged canyons and recreation areas of the North Fork of the American River.
