Provides advocacy, education, and prevention services that enable children to grow up free from abuse and neglect.

Offers the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program that coordinates volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who are dependents of the Nevada County Juvenile Dependency Court, helping to ensure they have a chance to live in a safe and permanent home.

Provides crime victims with emotional support in the aftermath of crime, guidance through the criminal justice process, assistance in applying for Victim Compensation and awareness of victims' rights. All services are confidential and free of charge.

The Tahoe Truckee Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) is a program of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation. CAPC's activities are funded by the Children’s Trust Fund in both Placer and Nevada Counties.

CAPC activities include:

• Providing funding for parenting classes
• Staff training
• Community education
• Advocating for child abuse prevention strategies across the region

Live Violence Free (formerly the South Lake Tahoe Women’s Center) is dedicated to improving the emotional, social, and economic condition of women and families in the community through programs and services that address domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and basic needs.

The Child Abuse Training and Technical Assistance Centers provide training and technical assistance to child advocacy centers; multi-disciplinary interview centers or teams; and child sexual abuse prevention, intervention and treatment service providers.
