The Arrearage Management Plan (AMP) is a debt forgiveness plan for PG&E customers who are eligible. For every on-time payment over a 12-month period, a portion of the customer’s past due amount is reduced. Customers must be enrolled in one of PG&E's financial assistance programs, CARE or FERA, and may also be participating in REACH and/or LIHEAP programs.

Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Events
To protect customers and communities from the risk of wildfire, Liberty will temporarily turn off power when weather conditions present an increased fire risk. Power outages might be prolonged, lasting several days. In partnership with fire weather experts, Liberty monitors real-time weather data and forecasts and regularly tests fuel moisture during the fire season. If it is determined that the forecasted conditions meet or exceed safety thresholds, Liberty will initiate a PSPS. This practice of de-energization as a last resort for public safety is regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

The North Tahoe Public Utility District (NTPUD) Board of Directors adopted a COVID-19 Rate Relief Credit program to assist NTPUD residents and businesses that have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The Rate Relief Credit Program offers a one-time account credit to to customers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19. Approved qualifying eligible customers, on a first come first served basis, will receive a one-time credit applied to their account equal to one month of the fixed portion of their monthly water and/or sewer utility bill (base charges, system replacement, and state and federal mandate fees).
