Info about bus fares and passes for Nevada County Connects, the public bus system in Western Nevada County, is on the website.

Discounted bus fare cards are available for qualified seniors, people with disabilities, and youth passengers. Children 5 years and younger ride free. The forms of identification listed below are required in order to be eligible for discounted fares. All applicants must have and show a valid photo ID.

Nevada County Now offers paratransit and senior on-demand dial-a-rides. There is no Sunday service. Service area includes Grass Valley, Nevada City, Penn Valley, Lake Wildwood, and other local areas (see link to map in Web Pages section below). Bus hours: 7am - 6pm  Monday - Friday. 7:30am - 4:30pm Saturday.

Hospitality House offers two transportation programs: Homeless Access Transport (HAT) and Older Adults Access Transport.

  • Both services are free and donations are welcome on the Older Adults Access Transport van.
  • Vans have lifts for wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
  • The service area is basically from the Brighton Greens Department of Social Services office in the south to the Rood Center in Nevada City in the north.
