The Lazarus Project merged with The Gathering Inn and is now a program provided by The Gathering Inn. The Lazarus Project develops, operates and manages innovative housing communities for individuals in need through a unique approach combining affordable housing with comprehensive supportive services.

The Lazarus Project has assisted more than 700 formerly homeless men and women since its founding. Participants are provided with the information and support to restore and redesign their lives so they can experience a successful integration back into their community with the ability to live independently.

The project seeks to guide participants in:
  • Developing life and job skills
  • Seeking educational opportunities
  • Finding appropriate housing and employment
  • Establishing a support system that will sustain participants as they move toward self sufficiency and independence

Roseville Home Start successfully transitions homeless families with children into affordable, sustainable, permanent housing and self-reliance through a system of housing and support services that is comprehensive, flexible, accessible and accountable.

Our Mission is to provide hope to homeless families, by assisting them in their move to self-sufficiency. We provide a safe, stable, drug-free, violence-free environment for children to live with their families.

Major components of the program include transitional housing, case management, budgeting, life skills training, therapy and permanent housing placement. Families reside at Home Start for one year, then continue under Home Start's case management for an additional year upon successfully moving into their own permanent housing.

Home Start provides shelter and comprehensive services to 150-200 clients per year.

The Crisis Resolution Center provides solution-focused, trauma-informed, and person focus family intervention; which resolves family crises and establishes reunification of children ages 12-17 with their families. The Crisis Resolution Center, located in Loomis California, is a six-bed (co-ed) facility with counseling services, fully licensed and professionally staffed to provide short-term out-client family services and short-term residential care.

Our team (composed of well-trained house parents, child care workers, and a CRC Case Manager) offers the highest quality of:
  • Relationship counseling
  • Conflict resolution
  • Parent-child training
  • Referral services

Short-term residential placement for teenagers ages 12-17 (average stay is approximately one to two weeks).Youth at the Crisis Resolution Center experience a stable, well-supervised schedule that follows a three-phase process:

The Gathering Inn South Placer is a family emergency shelter in Placer County. It is a nomadic shelter by nature and all guests are hosted by a different house of worship every night that provides shelter and a hot meal.

The shelter offers a chance for individuals and families it serves to build better lives and sustainable futures in the community.

Enhanced Care Management is a program of Adult System of Care, one of six Divisions of County of Placer Health & Human Services.

Enhanced Care Management (ECM) offers extra services at no cost to Medi-Cal members who have complex needs and challenges that make it difficult to improve their health. This could include health conditions or challenges such as not having a place to live. To get ECM services, someone must be enrolled in a Medi-Cal managed care health plan and meet certain eligibility requirements. The ECM provider will assign a lead care manager who works with the client to help them get the health care and social services needed. The lead care manager helps the client:
  • Stay engaged in their health care
  • Make a plan to meet their health goals
  • Connect and update doctors about the clients' needs and wishes
