Granite Wellness Centers provides access to naloxone (brand name NARCAN), a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. 

Naloxone can temporarily block the effects of opioids such as heroin, fentanyl, morphine, oxycodone, and codeine.

Services include:

  • Access to naloxone (NARCAN) for individuals, families, and community members
  • Education on overdose response and how to administer naloxone
  • Information about opioid safety and prevention
  • Referral to substance use disorder treatment and recovery services

Important:

Naloxone is a temporary treatment. Always call 9-1-1 immediately when responding to a suspected overdose, even after administering naloxone.

The Gathering Inn Mid Placer operates a 100 bed emergency housing and services program located at the DeWitt Campus in Auburn, CA.

The Gathering Inn is staffed 24/7 and employs 4 full-time Case Managers who work with guests to identify and work through barriers to housing by discussing how to increase income, providing a connection to education, and securing sustainable housing.

Case Managers then provide follow-up support for up to 1 year in an effort to reduce homelessness.

Mid Placer provides:

  • Safety and security on campus
  • 3 meals a day
  • Clean clothing
  • Bedding
  • Shower facilities
  • Use of electricity to run CPAP and Oxygen machines
  • Life skills courses
