The Foxen/JeT Airport Shuttle serves Western Nevada County with shuttle service to Sacramento Airport, Oakland Airport, and San Francisco International Airport. Rides to medical appointments may be considered if they do not conflict with regular shuttle runs. This a shuttle service and not a taxi cab and they book up far in advance.

Medi-Cal offers transportation to and from appointments for services covered by Medi-Cal. This includes transportation to medical, dental, mental health, or substance use disorder appointments, and to pick up prescriptions and medical supplies.

Tahoe Helping Hands provides Medical Appointment Transportation. The program helps ensure community members get to healthcare appointments safely, on time, and with dignity. They coordinate rides for seniors and others who need extra support getting to medical and dental visits, lab work, therapy, or other essential care.

Their drivers offer door-through-door assistance, meaning they don’t just drop you off—they help you to the door, and make sure you’re supported every step of the way.

Tahoe Helping Hands serves outlying areas around Truckee within Nevada County, which are not covered by existing local services.

To keep the program safe and reliable:

• Volunteer drivers are background-checked and trained in transportation best practices.

• Rides are scheduled in advance and coordinated by their team.

• All riders complete a brief intake so they can understand their needs and offer the right support.

• Service is always free, thanks to the generosity of donors and community sponsors.

Angel Flight West delivers health and hope using donated flights to serve those with healthcare or other compelling human needs. In the air, Angel Flight West links volunteer pilots and commercial airlines with people whose non-emergency health needs require long-distance travel to access care. On the ground, volunteer drivers ferry passengers to and from their departure and destination airports.
