Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid program. This is a public health insurance program which provides needed health care services for low-income individuals including families with children, seniors, persons with disabilities, foster care, pregnant people, and low income people with specific diseases such as tuberculosis, breast cancer, or HIV/AIDS.

Medi-Cal is free or low-cost for California residents who meet eligibility requirements. Medi-Cal considers income, but there is no asset limit (bank accounts, cash, property, vehicles).

Most applicants who apply through Covered California and enroll in Medi-Cal will receive care through managed health care plans. Post-COVID-19 Clinic provides one place where patients can get answers to their questions and potentially start on a treatment plan. The clinic has partnered with specialists throughout the UC Davis health system to provide timely consultations. The clinic may also collaborate with cardiology, vascular, neurology and infectious disease-immunology specialists.


Eligibility
Post-COVID-19 Clinic patients must have previously been diagnosed with COVID-19 and provide medical documentation of a positive COVID-19 lab test (home test results not accepted). People who meet those requirements may contact the clinic if they had their first symptoms at least 30 days ago, are concerned about health issues that weren’t apparent before the virus struck, or feel they are not back to normal.
