To meet the needs of children and youth who may be at risk, and their families, Placer County has a team that offers comprehensive services. Staff from the following areas are on the team:

Eligibility for Placer Children's mental health services includes full scope Medi-Cal beneficiaries, and County Medical Services Program (CMSP) beneficiaries with low or no share of cost. Those who do not meet these eligibility criteria are assessed on an individual basis regarding their need for services.

Raising Placer is a network of community coalitions in Placer County currently funded by the Drug Free Communities Support Program from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The coalitions work with their communities to prevent and reduce youth substance use.
