Pacific Educational Services (PES) provides educational workshops in such topics as alcohol and drug use, life skills, anger management, and theft.

Programs are court referred but the general public can take classes on a case-by-case basis if approved by the courts.

PES also offers substance abuse counseling where wellness, decision-making, planning, and relationships are addressed.

PES parenting classes, anger management programs, and domestic violence batterers intervention are tailored to the needs of participants and may last up to 52 weeks, per individual need.

PES class locations are in Auburn and Roseville.

The mission of the Placer County Tobacco Prevention Program is to reduce the impact of tobacco on Placer County residents.

Program goals include the following:
- Reduce exposure to second-hand smoke
- Counter pro-tobacco influences
- Reduce availability of tobacco products to minors
- Support the enforcement of tobacco laws and policies

Educate Placer County residents regarding tobacco issues, Build assets to mitigate the impact of tobacco on our community.

Raising Placer is a network of community coalitions in Placer County currently funded by the Drug Free Communities Support Program from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The coalitions work with their communities to prevent and reduce youth substance use. Through collaboration, the goal of the Raising Placer network of coalitions is to strengthen and sustain prevention efforts throughout the county.

SNA Telehealth & Onsite Services
SNA provides counseling and education services through secure video format online. Staff are in the office and are available by appointment. Youth leadership, cultural arts, and mentoring is done individually and in small groups. Contact the office at 530-888-8767 to schedule an appointment.

The Sierra Community Medical Foundation (SCMF) currently reaches hundreds of people each month in Placer, Nevada, Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties. Granite Wellness Centers (GWC), formerly known as Community Recovery Resources or CoRR, provides comprehensive services to promote wellness for individuals and families with a focus on addressing substance use disorders.

GWC is a source of naloxone, a medication used to rapidly reverse opioid overdose.

Granite Wellness offers residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment services for adults and youth with personalized treatment plans including group and individual counseling and other services.

Granite Wellness also provides transitional housing up to six months for adult men, women, and women with young children for people enrolled in outpatient services. It can reverse and block the effects of opioids such as such as heroin, fentanyl, morphine, codeine, and oxycodone. Administered when a patient is showing signs of opioid overdose, naloxone’s overdose reversal is a temporary treatment and its effects do not last long. So call 911 immediately after administering/receiving naloxone (NARCAN is a brand of naloxone). Naloxone is easy to learn to administer and is an important drug safety resource.
