Harmony House is located in the foothills of Auburn, California in the hub of other Placer County departments. Many services are centrally located for residents and can be reached within walking distance.

Residents are selected from the in-patient population of acute psychiatric facilities, state hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or from the community. Transition Partnership Program (TPP) is a collaborative effort between the Placer County Office of Education and the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR), serving students with disabilities and other impediments to employment. Through the program, participants develop important knowledge and skills to gain work.

Unity Care youth and family agency that works to provide safe, stable and affordable housing for youth and young adults as they age out of foster care, and to provide them with the supportive services they need to achieve self-sufficiency.

Unity Care Housing Programs
  • Transitional Housing Program (THP) - must be referred by case worker. Program eligibility: Ages 18-20 years old, residing in western Placer County, early onset mental health symptoms, former foster youth receiving AB12 benefits.
  • Rapid Rehousing (RRH) - Program eligibility: Ages 18-25. At risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness in Roseville or Rocklin.
  • Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) program - Program eligibility: Ages 16-25. At risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness in western Placer County.

Perinatal Substance Use Services are a part of Adult System of Care, one of six Divisions of County of Placer Health & Human Services.

This program provides substance use services for mothers and mothers-to-be who want a clean and sober life. If you are pregnant, have children under 17, and/or are attempting to regain custody of children while trying to address your substance use, you may qualify for a variety of services and supports.

We welcome women who, in addition to substance use issues, may have mental health issues that contribute to the current circumstances. Examples of such needs may be feelings of anxiety or depression, which often accompany substance use. Services range from outpatient, detoxification, and residential and transitional housing. Some services may even include child care (while you receive treatment) and help with transportation to program.
