Horses for Healing is a therapeutic riding center dedicated to enhancing the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of special needs individuals and their loved ones through involvement with horses.

Therapeutic riding provides the opportunity for people with special needs to use horses as their therapists.

Through this multi-sensory approach, the horse helps to heal the individual both physically and psychologically.

A Touch of Understanding’s mission is to encourage acceptance and respect for all individuals. ATOU's educational programs are designed to increase understanding of differences, thereby minimizing discrimination, bullying, and social isolation suffered by children and adults who are perceived as different for any reason, but especially those with disabilities.

ATOU's in-school workshop provides a potent, life-changing opportunity for students to meet people with disabilities and to experience for themselves what it may be like to have a disability. The workshop is broken up into two parts.

• Part 1: Speakers with disabilities talk about their life, their challenges, and how they achieve their goals. During the hour and a half session, students are encouraged to interact with these volunteers and ask questions.

Access in Motion is dedicated to providing on-time, accessible non-emergency medical transportation for the disabled community in Rocklin, Roseville, and surrounding areas in Placer and Sacramento counties. The company specializes in providing mobility services to and from dialysis and other medical appointments for individuals using wheelchairs and walkers or who are simply not able to drive themselves safely. Access in Motion provides door-to-door wheelchair service to ensure that passengers are personally escorted to their destination and safely returned home again.
