The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program will help pay for services provided to you so that you can remain safely in your own home. To be eligible, you must be over 65 years of age, disabled, or blind. Disabled children are also potentially eligible for IHSS. IHSS is considered an alternative to out-of-home care, such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.

The Jason Foundation, Inc. (JFI) believes that awareness and education are the first steps to suicide prevention.

Its Triangle of Prevention approach provides students, parents, and teachers with the tools and resources to help identify and help at-risk youth. This is accomplished through a curriculum unit for students and informational seminars for teachers and parents. The materials are easy to use and are intended to provide educational information. There is no intent to diagnose or treat suicidal ideation. JFI’s intention is to empower youth, educators and parents to help recognize when young people are in pain and know to get professional help involved as soon as possible. This campaign is funded through counties by the voter approved Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) (Prop. 63) and administered by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), an organization of county governments working to improve mental health outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

Includes assistance with Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and other needed resources as well as follow-up support for families and individuals.

Open from 10am-10pm every day for immediate evaluation and treatment. After hours, all evaluations occur in the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. Referrals from other agencies, including primary care physicians, therapists, substance abuse providers, and law enforcement are welcome from 10am-10pm daily.
