The Code Compliance Division of the Nevada County Community Development Agency promotes and maintains a healthy, safe and desirable living and working environment by administering an enforcement program to correct violations of codes and ordinances enacted by the Board of Supervisors in regards to property, buildings, and structures. Enforces regulations for abandoned vehicles, building code violations, California State Housing Law, condition of existing structures that constitute a clear and present danger to the public, illegal solid waste, and zoning requirements for structures.

Processes abandoned vehicle complaints to remove abandoned vehicles from public and private property. To report an abandoned vehicle, call the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement (AVA) Hotline at 530-470-2750.
