PET FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - NCPIN

The NCPIN Pet Food Assistance Program is open to low-income households, is limited to a total of 4 pets and they must all be spayed/neutered.
 
If you are approved for the program, you will receive gift cards redeemable at Incredible Pets. The gift cards are distributed on a quarterly basis.
 
To apply for this one-year pet food assistance program, you can pick up an application at the NCPIN Dollar Thrift Store, 434 Colfax Ave, Grass Valley on Tuesdays and Saturdays 11am-3pm or Wednesday through Friday 10am-4pm. You can also request an application via Facebook messenger https://www.facebook.com/nevadacountypetsinneed/ or email ncpetsinneed@gmail.com. Return the completed application any of these ways:

SOS Program's purpose is to reduce euthanasia and relinquishment of animals to shelters by providing assistance to responsible pet owners allowing them to retain their animal.
  • Financial assistance
    • may include: help to offset temporary boarding costs or rental pet deposits while an owner relocates or assistance with veterinary treatment
    • The monetary amount available to individuals varies but will not exceed $500.
    • This is a one-time process. Once an individual is approved for funding they will not be eligible to receive funding again.

Eligibility
The SOS Program applies to residents of Placer County only, who are truly in need but are otherwise responsible animal caregivers. They must be able to demonstrate a history of responsible pet ownership and be able to continue to provide a safe and humane home environment for the animal.

The Placer SPCA will rely on veterinarians and their assessment to help identify clients with a history of responsible pet ownership.
